Jeff and West traveled 34.6 miles today. The rain and strong headwinds started this afternoon. They started their day wearing t-shirts but over the course of the day had to put on their dry suits and warmer clothes. They saw their first tugboat and barge today. They will be paddling in lake-like environment. On the plus side, should be deeper water, on the down side, it may be rougher water.
They were interviewed on Russian One T.V. today. I have been looking for the interview but have not come across it yet. ( Once I do, I will post here. ) They woke up Marat, in Austin, at 1:00 a.m. to act as translator. He earned his gold star today. They felt really bad about waking him up, though.
